Four Monbus Julià drivers arrested for sabotaging buses during the strike

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested four men and have identified a woman as the alleged perpetrators of several acts of vandalism against buses of the UTE Monbus Julià in Baix Llobregat, coinciding with the strike in which the workers are immersed.

There are five drivers from the company itself, who are between 32 and 48 years old. The police attribute more than 200 attacks to them during the labor conflict in recent months, estimating damages valued at 600,000 euros.

Those detained are being investigated for crimes of damage, against traffic safety and coercion. The arrests have been made during the last two weeks, but the investigation is still open and the Mossos d'Esquadra do not rule out further arrests.

The police point out that the four detainees and the identified woman followed the buses by car and chose the most propitious moment to attack them.

On some occasions they threw metal objects with a slingshot while they were in the moving car, while they had also smashed the windows of other buses with a hammer when they were parked.
