This is how Montseny looked this Saturday morning, at exactly 8:15 a.m., from Vic. In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, the perspective from the capital of Osona of a hot air balloon flying over the landscape with the massif as a backdrop can be seen. background.

Osona is synonymous with fog, the so-called Pubilla de la Plana or baixa broma, a phenomenon that is characteristic of this Catalan region, the place in Spain with the most foggy days throughout the year.

In addition, there is a lot of tradition and love for balloon flights in Vic. It is not for nothing that the Ram Market International Trophy is organized every year in this town.

For its part, part of the Catalan Prelittoral mountain range, Montseny is a massif located on the border of the regions of Vallès Oriental, La Selva and Osona.

This mountain is separated from Les Guilleries by a fracture. Its highest peaks are Turó de l'Home, 1712 meters high; Les Agudes, at 1706 meters of altitude and El Matagalls, at a height of 1700 meters.

A large part of this mountain range corresponds to the protected area of the Montseny Natural Park, established in 1977 and managed by the Barcelona Provincial Council ever since.
