Carlos Mazón will be sworn in as president of the Generalitat at the end of next week

The leadership of the PSPV has transferred to this newspaper its predisposition for the investiture of Carlos Mazón as president of the Generalitat Valenciana to take place on July 13 or 14, at the end of next week. "It will be safe next week", these sources say, convinced that on Friday the Mesa de les Corts will reach an agreement so that what the Valencian PP wants is fulfilled, that the vote in the Valencian parliament is no longer delayed.

Since the elections of the past 28-M, the debate on the date of the investiture of Carlos Mazón has starred in the Valencian political agenda. From the PP, Ximo Puig has been accused of wanting to delay the date by forcing the deadlines of the regulation to bring it closer to the date of 23-J, the day of the general elections. Since the PSPV, this objective has been officially denied and has always been referred to the "legal" compliance with the deadlines.

So much so that even Mazón himself has not hesitated to criticize that Ximo Puig "does not want to leave his chair", and even yesterday he stressed that he was waiting for the president to make public his desire to speed up the deadlines. But sources from the PSPV told this newspaper that they are in talks with the PP and that it only remains to define which of the two days will be the right one, given that the Valencia Provincial Council is also scheduled to be constituted on the 14th. PP sources acknowledged these conversations and that the climate is "cordial".

The parliamentary groups have until today to establish themselves. They have all done it days ago except for the PSPV that has waited until the last minute. Some, such as Compromís, were established last Tuesday, while Voz was the first to register its parliamentary group and the PP also did so last week to speed up the deadlines. Joan Baldoví, Ombudsman of the Valencian coalition, has already shown his predisposition for the investiture to take place as soon as possible and that he is not in favor of "extending deadlines".

On Friday morning, once the groups have been constituted, the Mesa de les Corts, the body in charge of activating the programming of the investiture, will meet and pronounce. From the PSPV it was stated that it only remains to assess some details to confirm if it will be on the 13th or the 14th. In any case, it is assumed that the following week, the last of the electoral campaign of the general elections, Carlos Mazón will already be president of the Generalitat Valenciana and will be able to name his government in which there will be three portfolios reserved for Vox.
