Boston condemns white supremacists marching in masks through the city

On Saturday, several dozen white supremacists marched through Boston.

CBS Boston reports that some of them wore police shields or flags. They were part of white supremacist group Patriot Front. They boarded a metro train at a downtown station.

Michelle Wu, Boston Mayor, condemned the march.

Wu tweeted, "To the white supremacists running through downtown today: We don't hide from our faces when we march." "Your hatred is just as disgusting as it is cowardly, and it goes against everything Boston stands for."

No word was available about any arrests.

A group of 31 men, believed to be Patriot Front members, were detained last month near a Pride event held in Coeur d'Alene. They were found in a U-Haul truck that contained at least one smoke grenade and shields. They were believed to be planning a riot.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Patriot Front is a white nationalist hate group.
