The Balaguer City Council has closed the Gold Interpretation Center until further notice due to acts of vandalism during the early hours of Friday to Saturday, when a person or a group of people hit the facade and windows of the building with large stones.
The acts of vandalism have caused pieces of glass to fall into the laundries in the gold center, which will now have to be emptied to be cleaned and refilled.
The municipal brigade has sealed the enclosure and has covered the different accesses to avoid further incidents. La Paeria de Balaguer has regretted the events and considers that, in addition to damaging municipal facilities, they pose a danger to citizens.
