Arrested the girlfriend of the man who tried to shoot Cristina Fernández de Kirchner

The Federal Police has arrested Brenda Uliarte, Fernando Sabag Montiel's partner who was charged last Thursday for the attempted assassination of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Official sources have confirmed to Clarín that the arrest took place at the Palermo train station on Sunday night until it was brought before Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti.

According to the investigators, despite the fact that Uriarte had publicly said that he had not seen Montiel for two days, the images from various security cameras deny this. The couple was seen traveling by train and later making various combinations with public transport. That is to say, the day of the attack on the vice president they would have been together.

Two days ago 'Ámbar' -as Brenda Uliarte called herself- broke the silence and said that she was "shocked" by what happened. Her testimony sought to distance herself from the attacker, but federal justice is trying to find out her possible participation in the events. The young woman now detained pointed out that Sabag "complained about the economy, about the rise in the dollar but as one more, not aggressively."

Federal judge Capuchetti issued this Sunday a secret summary in the case for attempted murder. The decision was made after analyzing the images from the security cameras located in the vicinity of Kirchner's house, in which they observed movements that attracted attention and that led them to suspect that more people were involved.

Now, Justice suspects that Fernando Sabag Montiel did not act alone at the time of triggering, on two occasions, a few centimeters from the vice president's head.

The arrest was carried out through geolocation work that allowed Brenda Uliarte to be followed to the vicinity of the Retiro station on the San Martín train line. At the Palermo station, the Federal Police ordered her arrest and after going through the cars they managed to find the 23-year-old girl.

In previous statements, Uliarte denied having seen the boxes with bullets or any type of weapon, after the police found one hundred bullets that were compatible with the 32-caliber Bersa pistol used by Sabag. The young woman stressed that she was "perplexed" by the facts.

Like her boyfriend, the woman was selling cotton candy at a street stall and had been involved in a crude discussion with a beneficiary of a social plan that had an impact when she appeared on Crónica TV.
