The Mossos have arrested this past morning a woman of Romanian origin in Torrefarrera (Lleida) accused of having participated in the murder of her own daughter, a 12-year-old girl whose body was found inside a plastic bag in an apartment in Bucharest .
A macabre crime in which the last couple of the detained woman, whose whereabouts are unknown, may also have participated. Now that man is wanted.
It was the girl's father who put the Romanian police on alert after denouncing last May that his ex-wife and daughter had disappeared. An investigation was opened and everything was clarified just a few days ago, when the owner of an apartment located in the center of Bucharest reported the appearance of a corpse, placed in a plastic bag and hidden in a drawer of the sofa in the dining room of that house. .
The agents initially thought that this body, in an advanced state of decomposition, could correspond to that of the last tenant of that apartment (the woman arrested this morning in Lleida) but the DNA tests confirmed that it was her daughter, only 12 years.
After this verification, a search and capture order was activated against this woman and also her current sentimental partner. Both, it was possible to verify after the discovery of the body of the minor, had disappeared. They left Budapest without a trace.
The police investigations suggest that the couple could have left Romania by car and, pulling the thread, the investigators came to the conclusion that the girl's mother could have traveled to Lleida.
These suspicions were communicated from Romania to the Mossos and at one in the morning today the agents have located and arrested this woman in an apartment in Torrefarrera.
She has been arrested for her alleged participation or collaboration in the crime of her daughter, a murder for which the mother's last partner is also being sought. A difficult mission since it is practically taken for granted that this man fled Romania after the crime. He could be in any country in Europe. Europol already has all the data on that man.
The parents of that minor have been separated for years, although they were still in contact for their daughter's alternate visits. The police hypothesis is that this minor was murdered last April and hidden on the sofa on that floor. Her father reported that he did not know anything about her daughter in early May.
