Agents of the Civil Guard of Valencia have arrested a 46-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of homicide, after apparently fatally beating a friend of his during an argument in a municipality in the Ribera Alta region. A court has ordered his entry into prison.
The investigation began when the lifeless body of a person who had been the victim of a violent death was found on July 8. Investigators managed to determine that the alleged perpetrator of the events was a friend of the victim.
As reported by the Civil Guard in a statement, during that day the now detainee and the victim had been drinking alcohol at the second's home.
Finally, apparently, they had a strong discussion that ended with a fatal blow by the alleged perpetrator to his friend. Subsequently, the man fled the place, trying to hide to hinder the action of Justice.
As a result of citizen and police collaboration, the man could be arrested in another municipality of Ribera Alta. The suspect, a Lithuanian national, has been taken to court and his entry into prison has been ordered. The proceedings have been delivered in the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Requena.
