The National Police have arrested a judo teacher from Oviedo as the alleged perpetrator of three sexual assaults on minors. The arrest took place this Monday, following a complaint by one of the minors to the Family and Women's Unit.
The victim claimed to have suffered touching of a sexual nature, according to police reports. Subsequently, two other complaints from minor girls and companions of the previous one were collected, also reporting having suffered similar touching by the same man.
According to the investigation, the detainee taught classes at three public schools in the community and the police continue to collect testimonies.
In view of the complaints filed, the agents proceeded to arrest the alleged attacker, who has been brought before a court in Oviedo. The victims have requested a protection or restraining order.
The police have indicated that one of the measures provided for in the Penal Code for this type of criminal is disqualification from practicing a profession related to education with minors.
The investigation remains open since it is not ruled out that there are more victims or episodes of sexual assaults carried out by the accused.
