An SUV crashes into a doorway on Lagasca Street in Madrid and leaves three injured: it accelerated instead of braking

A woman lost control of her SUV early this afternoon and ended up crashing it into the portal of a building on Lagasca Street, in the Madrid district of Salamanca.

As reported by Emergencies Madrid, Firefighters from the capital's City Council had to extract the vehicle, which had accidentally broken into the lobby, and had hit two elevators.

Of them, the same firefighters rescued two people unharmed, as well as the driver of the car, Servimedia reports. The vehicle climbed a dozen steps until it was embedded in the landing of the building. According to Telemadrid, the driver "lost her car" while she was making maneuvers to park and "accelerated instead of braking."

The Municipal Police of Madrid collaborated in the intervention and took charge of the investigation of this incident.
