An 18-year-old girl died as a result of the accident that occurred last morning when the vehicle she was traveling in left the road and fell from a height of six meters down an embankment in the municipality of Puig-reig (Berguedà).
The emergency services were alerted at 05:26 in the morning of this accident that occurred at kilometer 80 of the C-16 highway. The car, in which three people were traveling as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit, left the road for reasons that are still being investigated and fell down a six-meter embankment until it overturned on a secondary road.
As a result of the accident in which the occupant of one of the rear seats of the car died.
The fatal victim, M.E.H, 18 years old and a resident of Gavà (Baix Llobregat), was traveling in the back seat of the vehicle. While the driver of the vehicle and the female passenger who occupied the front seat suffered injuries of varying degrees, the man was taken to the Berga hospital and the woman to the Althaia in Manresa.
Several Mossos patrols, three units of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and three units of the Generalitat Firefighters went to the scene of the accident and worked intensely to free the people trapped in the accident vehicle.
