Aitana Sánchez-Gijón reveals that she separated from her husband, Papin Luccadane, three years ago

Aitana Sánchez-Gijón turned 55 on November 5. The actress of Italian origin can boast of having an enviable career that only many other performers can aspire to, since she has been in our lives since she was just a teenager.

Very discreet with her private life, the performer married the Argentine plastic artist Guillermo Papin Luccadane in 2002, forming one of the most established couples on the national scene. However, it seems that not all that shines is gold, since the actress herself has revealed that she has been separated from the father of her two children for three years.

The couple got married more than two decades ago in a wedding with a bohemian air, shielded from the press and attended by only 50 guests, which was held at one of the estates of their great friend, Miguel Bosé. Since then, they both remained extremely discreet about what was happening in their house. "We are a team that has learned along the way to respect each other a lot and to accompany each other well," the actress confessed in an interview a few years ago.

On the occasion of her birthday, the actress gave another interview in which she confessed in an unprecedented way some details of her personal and family life. A revelation that she made in a very natural way, simply explaining that she was embarking on a "very different" new stage.

"Three years ago I separated, my eldest son was emancipated two years ago, at 20. I live hand in hand with my 19-year-old daughter, almost like two roommates. It is a very different stage," she explained to the newspaper El País. The actress did not go into the reasons that led to this separation, but she did explain that it had been something mutual and that both were handling it cautiously, still trying to adapt.

"I have not yet completed the grief that a separation entails after 22 years of relationship, no matter how agreeable the breakup may have been. I thought the grief was shorter and easier," he revealed. Still, she is happy for what is to come, taking this moment as a process of "metamorphosis" that she has not yet completed.

The two continue to combine their work as parents of their two children together: Teo (22) and Bruna (19), who follow in their footsteps in the world of art. Teo achieves success in the world of music as a singer and composer; and together with his sister Bruna he has formed a rap duo that already has a large number of followers.

The youngest of the family has also already made her first steps in the world of cinema. After turning 18 last January, the young woman has become one of the content creators to follow on social networks and she has already participated in short films such as Dime and El semblante.
