Aitana Mas on Hèctor Illueca's attack on Juan Roig: "the finger is not pointed at anyone"

With less forcefulness than the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, but without straying from the line marked by the socialist leader, the vice president of the Valencian Government and leader of Compromís, Aitana Mas, has demanded this Friday, after the criticism of Podemos to Juan Roig, that it is necessary to "do not point the finger at anyone".

With these statements, and after the discomfort shown by Joan Baldoví himself, Compromís candidate for the Generalitat, for the positions of Ione Belarra, it is clear that the second vice president, Héctor Illueca (from Podem), is alone in his line of censorship of "ruthless monopoly capitalism".

That does not mean that he is not comfortable in a story that allows him to distance himself from his partners and look for that more left-wing electorate and pissed off with inflation and the rise in the shopping basket.

At the press conference after the Consell plenary session in Alicante, Mas advocated dialogue between administrations, employers and unions to address a "very complex" situation, marked by the increase in prices. The leader of Compromís has stressed that the response must be coordinated between all parties to try to solve the day-to-day life of citizens.

In this line, he has assured that the Valencian Government and the "weird parties" -in clear reference to the harsh statements of the president of AVE, Vicente Boluda, against the small parties that condition the governments-, "has been up to the task" with "very important" measures to improve the lives of many people in "very difficult" times.

The response in networks to the words of Aitana But they did not wait. The secretary of Organización de Podemos in Valencia city, Carles Monsonís, has regretted the words of the leader of Iniciativa for defending "a ruthless capitalist like Juan Roig" and has thrown a dart at her: "The absence of Mónica Oltra is noticeable".

However, it is possible that the position of Compromís on such a poetic and ideological issue could crack. In fact, Som Joves, the youth branch of Iniciativa - Mas's party - has tweeted this Friday a phrase that Illueca himself has used in his argument: "Wealth is generated by workers and workers."
