Abascal accuses Feijóo of sacrificing the alternative in Extremadura for his ambition

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has accused the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of being willing to sacrifice "the alternative" in Extremadura for his political ambition while pointing out that the Popular Party is "a great mystery". because, as he has verified, "there is not a single voice, or there is a single voice that tells them that they have to do a different thing in each place" in allusion to the pacts with his party to form governments.

In an interview on Canal Sur Radio, the leader of Vox has reacted in this way to the veto that the PP has placed on them to enter the governments in which they are necessary for the investiture and has focused on the case of Extremadura, where the candidate of the PP, María Guardiola, who was not the most voted list on 28-M, needs your votes for the investiture but rejects her entry into the regional government, on the grounds, among others, that Vox denies sexist violence.

"Guardiola spreads lies about Vox and contributes to the demonization of Vox that the left has been perpetrating for a long time," replied Abascal, who after reaching an agreement with the PP to govern the Valencian Community in which gender violence was avoided and there was talk of domestic violence, he now assures that sexist violence "exists, we do not deny it."

In fact, he has said that his party has "the toughest position of all parties against men who assault or murder women" and exemplifies this in his commitment to "life imprisonment." "We believe that rapists should not be released from prison, we want the law of only yes is yes to be repealed and the politicians who have allowed it to be pointed out," Abascal asserted.

Regarding what happened in Extremadura in the last hours, Abascal has considered that Guardiola "has received orders" from Genoa not to reach an agreement "all because of the national political ambition of Feijoo, who is willing to sacrifice the alternative in Extremadura and in Murcia solely based on national political interests”, alluding to Feijóo's objective of reaching the general elections on 23-J without having to sign more pacts with the ultra-right than the one already closed in Valencia that could weigh down expectations.

“There are those who believe that they can insult VOX, that they cannot participate in national debates and that VOX is obliged to give them the votes just because… that is an injustice, it is the last straw that some insult and demonize us… we are not willing to do that , we are willing to build an alternative", warned the leader of Vox, who warned that they are not "the broom car of the PP" and they are not going to "betray" the trust of their voters.

At this point, Abascal has tried to show Feijóo's PP that in Valencia or Castilla y León it accepts them in the government but not in Extremadura or Murcia. "It is a great mystery what the PP can do, what Vox can do is clear, the proof is Castilla y León and Valencia and they are those 140 town halls in which Vox has offered a government coalition". It is a great mystery because there is not a single voice, or there is a single voice that tells them that they have to do a different thing in each place”, he snapped.

Regarding the Balearic Islands, the far-right leader has acknowledged that entering the executive "is not an unavoidable requirement or a resignation" after reaching an agreement that has given them the presidency of parliament. However, he has shown his concern about what he describes as "linguistic freedom", that is, that parents can educate their children in Spanish so that Catalan no longer prevails. "We cannot be part of a government that does not guarantee that," he pointed out.
