The body of an 81-year-old woman who disappeared in Zaragoza on New Year's Day has been located in the Torrero cemetery in the Aragonese capital, lying on a tombstone.
Although there is still no official confirmation, sources in the investigation believe they know the identity of the deceased from the belongings and papers she had in her bag and the clothes she was wearing.
The body was found by an operator a little before 8:00 this Friday, in the old area of the cemetery, of little use and, therefore, little traffic.
She was lying on a tombstone, in an advanced state of decomposition, sources have stated.
Around 9:00 a.m. this Friday, the removal of the body was authorized and its transfer to the Institute of Legal Medicine to perform an autopsy.
