A woman arrested for looting the account of an elderly woman with Alzheimer's and taking 11,000 euros

The Valencia Civil Guard has arrested a young woman who took advantage of the trust she had with an elderly woman with Alzheimer's to empty her bank account and take more than 11,000 euros from her.

The son of the injured party was the one who detected the lack of money when he went to update the accounts at the bank, where a negative balance was found.

The detainee used the victim's cards, of which she knew the passwords, to make several bank withdrawals, and in a short period of time she stole all of the savings, 11,200 euros.

Finally, the investigators managed to identify the person responsible for the events, a 28-year-old woman who belonged to a close circle of the affected person, and arrested her for the crime of theft and fraud.

As reported this Friday by the Civil Guard, the proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 4 of Alzira.
