An area of vegetation in Can Llopart, located in the municipality of La Palma de Cervelló, has caught fire this Saturday afternoon. The column of smoke caused by the fire can be seen kilometers away, even from Barcelona.
According to the first information, the Firefighters have activated 11 crews to put out the flames and a helicopter and two surveillance planes have flown to the scene.
The fire warning was received at 1:17 p.m. in a wooded area between Can Llopard and the Marge fountain. It affects a fairly leafy and wooded area, next to the Can Rafael and Can Paulet urbanizations.
In addition to the Generalitat Fire Brigade, there are also several ADF troops, Rural Agents and Mossos d'Esquadra patrols.
