Traffic between the stations of Garraf and Vilanova i la Geltrú, in Barcelona, has been interrupted this Tuesday due to the derailment of a train without passengers at the Sitges station around 9:50 in the morning, as reported by Adif .
As reported by Renfe, the causes of the incident that is affecting all the trains of the R2 Sur, R13, R14, R15, R16 and R17 commuter lines and those of Long Distance that circulate by conventional route are unknown at the moment.
Renfe and Adif have activated their technical teams to get the train back on track and, in addition, they are working to offer alternative road transport for affected passengers.
Civil Protection of the Generalitat de Catalunya, for its part, has activated the pre-alert of the Ferrocat plan, for emergencies in passenger transport by rail.
