A man arrested in Malaga for a new case of gender violence. The aggressor, 43 years old, was arrested on the spot by Local Police officers, who entered the house where the events were taking place and managed to subdue him, remove the knife and immobilize him. During the search, the police officers realized that he was carrying a knife in one of his pockets.

The events took place last Wednesday night in the Gamarra area, in the capital of Malaga. Agents from the Investigation and Protection Group Unit (GIP), who intervened when passing by the street and hearing the neighbors' cries for help. The officers managed to enter the house, a ninth floor of a building located in this Malaga neighborhood, and found the victim in a room lying face down, unconscious and stained with blood, as detailed by the security force in a statement. On the other hand, the police identified other people who also lived in the house and witnessed the events, in addition to a man who was visiting and initially confronted the individual to prevent him from attacking his wife, suffering a small cut on one leg as a result of the struggle.

There were no previous complaints of mistreatment by the victim against her partner, so it was not included in the Comprehensive Monitoring System for Victims of Gender Violence, Viogén.

The man, who has been accused of attempted murder, remains detained in police stations at the expense of being brought to justice.
