A man dies from a shot by the National Police in A Coruña

A man died this Monday morning in A Coruña due to gunshots during a police action carried out by the National Police, according to sources close to the case consulted by Europa Press. According to the information provided, there was an action by agents of the National Police Corps due to previous altercations involving the 35-year-old man.

According to La Voz de Galicia, some witnesses claimed that a man, with a violent attitude, had caused a previous incident with a large iron bar on Avenida de Arteixo, hitting the windows of some cars.

Apparently, the victim disobeyed the first warnings from the Police. At that moment, the agents used the taser to prevent him from escaping, but without success due to the subject's corpulence. The same sources indicate that in the attempt to shoot him in the legs - up to three times - the man would have turned to avoid the bullet and would have received an involuntary shot in the body that ended his life.

The event occurred around ten this morning in the A Grela industrial estate, and the judicial commission has already traveled to the scene to remove the body. For the moment, the National Police has not commented on the matter, although the Unified Police Union (SUP) has. He has stated in X that he is "a criminal who tried to murder a national police officer and had to be shot down."
