The National Police this afternoon arrested a man accused of murdering his partner with a knife in a house located in the Pescadería neighborhood, in Almería. The agents are still investigating the facts, although it is true that everything indicates that it is a new case of sexist violence.
If confirmed, it would be the tenth woman to lose her life in Andalusia at the hands of her partner or ex-partner, number 29 in all of Spain in 2023.
The arrested man, who has already been transferred to police stations after his arrest, would have fatally attacked the woman with a bladed weapon, supposedly a knife, around 5:40 p.m. at her home on Galera street, and there have been several witnesses of the facts that have given the alarm to Emergencies 112.
The victim and the detainee were not part of the VioGén network, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the Government Delegation in Andalusia. The same sources have detailed that the data collected has already been sent to the Government Delegation for Gender Violence to study the event.
Thus, notice has been given to the National Police, Local Police and health services, which have tried to revive the woman who has finally died. The investigation remains open while the scene remains cordoned off for the judicial removal of her body.
