A macro-operation against drugs in Cañada Real ends with 24 detainees

As if it were a movie, although it has been real, the National Police Agents have dismantled a criminal organization formed by a well-known family clan that ran the most active point of sale in Cañada Real Galiana in Madrid. They supplied more than 500 daily doses of drugs, such as cocaine, heroin and other toxic substances. This is one of the largest macro-operations carried out in this area of the Madrid capital, as well as in Alcalá de Henares and Morata de Tajuña.

In the nine searches carried out in the three enclaves, more than seven kilos of cocaine, almost two of heroin and another two kilograms of other substances have been seized. 11 vehicles have also been seized, more than 125,000 euros in cash, as well as ten firearms and almost 700 cartridges.

In addition, 24 people (ten women and 14 men) who occupied different rungs in the criminal structure have been arrested, of whom eleven have entered prison. All of them were brought before the judicial authority as allegedly responsible for the crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, illegal possession of weapons, deposit of weapons and ammunition, and a crime against public health.

The point of sale was completely bunkered with strong security measures such as a maze of armored doors, bars, false bricked-up doors and permanent surveillance operating 24 hours a day, the Police Headquarters reported in a statement.

The organization had a very pyramidal structure: from those who controlled the police presence, to those who allowed buyers to enter the premises or the sellers themselves, who were in an isolated room with no contact with the outside world. More than 200 agents have worked in the operation to dismantle the drug-selling clan.
