Agents from the Manresa police station (Bages) of the Mossos d'Esquadra have denounced a 35-year-old man for a crime against road safety for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages resulting in an accident.
According to police sources, around midnight yesterday, the detainee's vehicle suffered an accident due to leaving the road at kilometer 25.9 of the C-55 highway, when it quadrupled the permitted alcohol rate. As a consequence, the car was overturned in the middle of the road.
When the agents arrived at the scene of the accident, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle who was slightly injured was treated and a breathalyzer test was performed, as he showed signs of having drunk. When doing the test, he gave a result of 1.05 mg per liter in inhaled air, four times more than the allowed limit, which is 0.25. For these facts, the man was denounced.
