At 46, the singer remains in top shape and has been seen practicing all kinds of activities, in addition to her complicated choreography. Of course, if she has to choose her favorite sport at the moment, that would be surfing; even more so since she moved to Miami, where she can practice it more regularly than she did when she lived in Barcelona.
The Colombian has been practicing on the board for several years and at this point she has a more than considerable level. Only then can it be understood that she has dared with a challenge like the one she faced just a few hours ago: the artist, with the sea agitated by the storm, dares to surf the waves and execute the odd trick.
"Rain, shine or lighten," says the Acrostic performer, who is indifferent to the weather, as it always seems like a good time to practice new tricks.
A boldness that the artist has wanted to share on her Instagram account in a video that, as expected, has not taken long to fill with comments from her followers, totally amazed at the singer's audacity to face the sea in these conditions.
Specifically, the Colombian was practicing the so-called 'drop knee', a technique that consists of stepping on the rear area of the board with the toenail, extending the rear leg and practically supporting the knee while maintaining a very low point of gravity. A trick for advanced levels, which allows you to move large tables with ease.
Shakira may have conquered her more than 87.4 million followers on Instagram with her projects and songs, but more and more people admire her for her prowess on the stage. Just a few days ago, the singer surprised again by sharing another video, in which she demonstrated her abilities and which exceeded two million views in just a few hours.
What's more, in other videos, the Colombian showed that it was not necessary to wait for the right weather conditions to be able to practice her favorite sport. "If there are no waves, they are made", she commented in another publication, where she tried to surf the waves generated by a boat.
During her time in Spain, the singer also looked for moments here and there to practice surfing, and it was not uncommon to see her in the north of the country. The first times, the artist stayed in the pool of the Wavegarden surf center, in Gipuzkoa; She later travels to the beaches of the Bay of Biscay and the Cantabrian Sea, some of the favorite corners of surf lovers.
What's more, her trips were so frequent that at the end of 2022 she had to deny that she was having a relationship with Gorka Ezkurdia, a young 25-year-old surf teacher who had given some classes to the artist and her children in Cantabria.
