A crack in a building on Avenida Constitución 208 in Valencia last night forced the residents of a property with 14 homes to evacuate, as reported this morning by sources from the Cap i Casal City Council.
From the council they explain that on Tuesday night, firefighters received a call about a crack supposedly caused by some adjacent works. Given this situation and as a preventive measure, the property was evacuated and the SAUS (Social Emergency Assistance Service) was activated.
Municipal sources explain that only 13 residents needed relocation to spend the night since some affected people went to relatives' homes. During the night the firefighters carried out security work and the Local Police guarded the area to prevent people from entering the building.
This morning the technicians are checking the building. Likewise, they add from the Valencia City Council, the Social Services of the Salvador Allende Office have made themselves available to the affected neighbors in case they need attention.
