During the Three Wise Men Parade in Gines (Seville), a brief fire broke out in one of the floats that made up the procession, which was caused by an electrical failure, according to the City Council of said town in Aljara, clarifying that the situation has been resolved without any personal injury.
To this end, the previously designed Self-Protection Plan has been activated, in which the different existing risks and the way to act effectively in each case are assessed.
In this incident, all the protocols established by the Local Police and Civil Protection have been correctly executed, with the collaboration of the volunteer staff of the Association of Friends of the Three Wise Men.
To do this, first the float was evacuated, after which the brief fire was dealt with, completely putting it out. The float was then isolated and diverted from the rest of the procession for safety reasons. The members of this float have been relocated to other floats in the procession.
It should be remembered that, in accordance with the aforementioned Self-Protection Plan, each float is equipped with several fire extinguishers, having previously reviewed all the documentation related to the vehicles participating in the Parade. Thus, the situation has been resolved with only minor material damage of no major significance.
