A boat found adrift with the bodies of four women near Cartagena

On Thursday night, Maritime Rescue towed a seven-meter semi-rigid boat to the port of Cartagena (Murcia), with four bodies of women on board, which was located by a ship in transit eleven miles off the Cartagena coast, according to The Government Delegation has confirmed.

The rescue operation lasted until dawn with the boat's arrival at the port of Santa Lucía dock, where Civil Guard and National Police patrols, judicial agents and firefighters from the Cartagena park were waiting.

The first hypotheses suggest that they are four men of North African origin who died while trying to reach the coast. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Cartagena for autopsies, according to sources.
