A 39-year-old woman dies after being stabbed in the middle of the street in Getafe

A 39-year-old woman died this Saturday after being attacked on Arcas del Agua Avenue, in the Madrid municipality of Getafe, Community Emergencies 112 reported. Gender violence is among the lines handled by the Police, although they specify that at the moment this cannot be confirmed nor have any arrests been made.

The Scientific Police and Homicide Group VI of the National Police have traveled to the scene, whose main line of investigation is that it could be a sexist murder, police sources have reported. There are no arrests and it is unknown if the victim had previously suffered sexist violence.

The emergency services received a telephone alert at 1:45 p.m. alerting them that a woman had been attacked on a public street and had several stab wounds.

The National Police, the Local Police and Summa 112 attended the scene of the events, whose paramedics performed maneuvers for twenty minutes of advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It has not been possible to reverse the stop and health workers have confirmed the death of the woman.

"The Police are investigating the murder of a woman in Getafe due to possible sexist violence, her murderer has fled. In these difficult times all our regret and support is with her family and friends. We continue to gather more information," he wrote on his account.
