Starting tomorrow, the CPHI Barcelona congress will bring together the main and most innovative international pharmaceutical companies and drug developers, as well as suppliers of technologies, products and services for this sector, at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue. This is the largest global event for the pharmaceutical industry, which expects to bring together more than 40,000 executives and professionals in the sector from 170 countries.
Organized by Informa Markets, CPHI Barcelona will occupy the entire Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue with the stands of nearly 2,000 companies. The trade exhibition will dedicate three pavilions to active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), the raw material necessary for the manufacture of any medicine.
There will also be a significant presence of excipients, fine chemicals, natural extracts, bioproduction, machinery and equipment, packaging and drug administration systems, as well as integrated pharmaceutical manufacturing that covers all phases of the value chain.
It is also worth highlighting the notable participation of pharmaceutical companies that develop and manufacture drugs for third parties (CDMO). In fact, within the framework of the fair, million-dollar collaboration contracts are signed between agents in the sector both for the production of generics and innovative medicines, vaccines, biopharmaceuticals or cellular and genetic therapies, among others.
As a novelty, in this edition CPHI launches a start-up market that will be located in pavilion 3, specifically designed to help accelerate the development of emerging companies in the pharma and healthcare industry, facilitating the presentation of their innovations and value propositions. to investors and the international pharmaceutical community attending the fair.
CPHI Barcelona also includes a conference that will address a wide range of topics that mark the future of this industry, from biomanufacturing and next generation formulation to sustainability.
