'Super Mario Bros. Wonder' and other featured games from the Nintendo Direct

Super Mario has been the great protagonist of the Nintendo Direct, the presentation with which the Japanese company has just announced its news for the coming months. Specifically, thanks to Super Mario Bros. Wonder, a totally new two-dimensional platform adventure that will arrive on Nintendo Switch in October, and that has been announced shortly after the successful passage through theaters of this character.

Next, we review some of the most outstanding titles of this presentation dedicated to presenting the games that will arrive on Nintendo Switch during the second half of this 2023.

More than ten years after the last Super Mario Bros. in its most classic aspect, that of jumps and 2D platforms, Nintendo has presented a completely new adventure. The game stands out for a colorful artistic design different from anything seen so far in the series, but, above all, for the new powers of Mario and company. It will go on sale on October 20.

It was the only game whose presence in the presentation had been confirmed, and it is not for less. This particular strategy game created by designer Shigeru Miyamoto is Nintendo's most prominent release for this summer. It will hit stores on July 21 and has a new trailer. During the Nintendo Direct it was also announced that the original Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 will be coming to Switch in a pack.

One of the surprises of this Nintendo Direct. When this game was originally released in 1996, it was never released in Europe. That is why, for many, it remains a cult title. In this adventure you change the jumps and platforms for turn-based combat more typical of a Japanese role-playing game. The new version will update the visual aspect and will go on sale on November 17.

Nintendo's craziest and most absurd microgames will return on November 3 with a new installment of WarioWare. How could it be otherwise, it will allow up to four simultaneous players locally.

Detective Pikachu will continue his investigations on Nintendo Switch, and will do so after that first foray into Nintendo 3DS released in 2016 and the movie starring Ryan Reinolds. This sequel will go on sale on October 6.
