Club Atlético Osasuna is in mourning. The rojillo club has announced this Friday the death of Patxi Izco. The former president was the head of the Navarrese entity for ten years. "Osasuna regrets the death of Pachi Izco, president of the club between 2002 and 2012. Rest in peace. Goian bego," Osasuna wrote on social networks.
Izco will be remembered for being the president of the successful first decade of the century, when Osasuna reached historic milestones: a Copa del Rey final (2004/05) and a UEFA Cup semifinal (2006/07), in addition to participate in a qualifying phase of the Champions League.
Born in Gazólaz 77 years ago, the also businessman will not be able to enjoy a second cup final as a fan: the one that the rojillos will play on May 6 against Real Madrid at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville.
