Pedro Rocha, president of the Management Commission of the Spanish Federation (RFEF), indicated that they are "very grateful for the trust that FIFA has placed" in their vision of the tournament and hope to "work very closely with them in the coming months." .

Meanwhile, the Moroccan president, Fouzi Lekjaa, stated that "under the great leadership of Mohammed VI, football in Morocco is growing like never before, from grassroots football to the national teams. Joining forces with Portugal and Spain to create a World Cup "FIFA changing the rules of the game has been the next step to continue on the path of this growth."

On October 4, the FIFA Council unanimously agreed that the only candidacy to organize the event would be the joint bid of Spain, Portugal and Morocco; that Montevideo hosts the opening match, to commemorate the hundred years since the first World Cup that was held in Uruguay in 1930, and that both Argentina and Paraguay host a match.

On October 28, the three federations presented their joint candidacy in Rabat and on the 31st, FIFA received the declaration of interest in organizing the World Cup.
