Miami GP 2023 F1: Schedule and where to watch the race live

Formula 1 returns stronger than ever this weekend. After the spring break due to the cancellation of China, now there are consecutive appointments for lovers of this sport. F1 moves to American soil, where the 2023 Miami GP is held. This race will return to the usual format, with three free practice sessions, qualifying and the long-awaited race.

Max Verstappen was the winner of this race in 2022, and he is once again the favorite this year. The Dutchman intends to win, with Red Bull being the best car on the current grid: both Verstappen and Sergio Pérez have won the four GPs held to date (Max in Bahrain and Australia and Pérez in Saudi Arabia and Baku), so that there are only six points of difference between the two.

On the other hand, Ferrari managed to become the second team on the grid at the Baku GP that took place last week, beating Aston Martin and Mercedes. Charles Leclerc surprised the public by achieving the two 'pole positions' at stake, although he ended up taking a step back when Red Bull showed his potential.

As for Fernando Alonso, his goal is to fight for the podium. The Spaniard was left out of the 'top 3' in Baku, although he is in third place in the standings with 60 points. The Spanish driver has added three podium finishes, and is confident that Aston Martin's AMR23 will achieve its purpose in Miami, positioning itself as the second car on the grid, beating Mercedes and Ferrari.

One of the biggest challenges of this GP is the American track, since tire degradation can cause problems throughout the 57 laps that the drivers will give to the circuit today.

The Miami Grand Prix, the fifth race of Formula 1 2023, will take place today, Sunday, May 7, at 9:30 p.m. It can be followed live on television from the DAZN channels and from the La Vanguardia website the last hour of the race will be followed in real time.
