Javier Tebas disguised as Villarejo

In football, not even God resigns. And less Javier Tebas, who is a boyfriend of death that no one in the tercio knew about, so bold and reckless that he enlisted in the legion. A football manager – take it figuratively – could be found stabbing random homeless people in a public park and nothing would happen. He would find a way to turn the matter around and make the beggar worthy of his carving.

Football gyrfalcons are always under cover. This is a business paid to impunity. The rule is in common and widespread use. And it works for Javier Tebas' League, Luis Rubiales' Royal Spanish Football Federation, Aleksander Ceferin's UEFA or Gianni Infantino's FIFA. Also for club managers. Far and near, past and present.

The protective shield of the directors of the associations –RFEF, Liga, FIFA and UEFA– is the large amount of money that passes through their hands to weave clientele networks of proven effectiveness. In clubs, it's enough for the boards to take note that we fans would be able to parade Jack the Ripper if he were one of our own. There is never a lack of costaleros to walk the devil. The leaders take advantage of it. It is enough for them to stand on the generalized stupidity of the fan, who will always show infinite indulgence on their part. A club manager can only be killed by bad play and by not letting the ball go in, never by questionable management alone.

Let's go back to Javier Tebas. His internal engine is not, as the culé believes, anti-Barcelona. His fuel is the defense at all costs of his interests and those of the business he runs. If Barça is his enemy, it is because the club is involved in an adventure – the European Super League – that threatens to dwarf him and ruin the domestic business in which he reigns. What is rude and mean is that in order to protect his beach bar, he has decided to disguise himself as Commissioner Villarejo to send papers with fanciful notes to the Prosecutor's Office with the aim of dulling and harming Barça and its leaders. The head honcho and most glamorous president of UEFA, the Slovenian Alexander Ceferin, wants Barcelona for the same reasons. Monopolies are always defended tooth and nail by those who enjoy them.

The Negreira case is already an uncontrolled fan that splashes feces from the right side and the other way around. Tebas and Ceferin have a pistol pointed at Barça's temple. Kneel, surrender, give up! They claim vendetta, like the uomini di onore. Which does not take away from those who continue to point out that Barça has not yet been able at this point to provide a single convincing argument about those shameful payments. They want us bad, yes. And we have inflicted it on ourselves, too.
