Vox changes its spokespersons in the Balearic Parliament after the serious internal crisis of the party

Vox changes spokespersons in the Balearic Parliament weeks after the serious crisis that the party experienced with the attempted coup by several rebel deputies against the president of the party in the Balearic Islands, Patricia de las Heras, and the president of the Balearic Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne . The promoters of that movement, Idoia Ribas and Sergio Rodríguez, have been removed as spokespersons in Parliament. Their positions will be occupied by two other deputies who participated in the operation, Manuela Cañadas and María José Verdú, who in recent weeks have been getting closer to the party leadership.

The replacement also comes after those who resigned announced last week the launch of an association, Avanza en Libertad, with which they intend to defend the ideology of Vox. The new spokesperson explained that the two resigned need time to decide on this association. She did so at a press conference attended by all Vox deputies as a show of unity.

The spokesperson has also reached out to another member of the party, Xisco Cardona, who left the parliamentary group due to disagreements with the party. "In this life we all make mistakes or change our minds," said Cañadas. He has ruled out an imminent transfer of those who resigned as non-attached deputies. "There is no option for them to leave at this time. If at another time they have a lot of work with their association and they consider that they should leave, it may be, but I am not aware of it at the moment," he insisted.

The Vox leadership has given its approval to this operation, which de facto means the fall of the rebels who led to the attempted coup against De las Heras and Le Senne. Bambú once again takes control of the Balearic parliamentary group, which until now operated on his behalf and outside the leadership of the national party. In recent weeks there has been an attempt at rapprochement between the Madrid leadership and the two deputies who will be the new spokespersons for the parliamentary group.

Vox provides external support to Marga Prohens in the Balearic Islands and the president has trusted that these adjustments will not affect the agreement between the two groups. Prohens has assured that the stability of the Government is not in question, but the opposition parties have denounced this new process of instability that the Parliament is experiencing and have pointed out Prohens as directly responsible for relying on this formation to govern.
