The campaign arrives in Ecuador with a PP that is not penalized by the pacts with Vox

Since the campaign began, on July 7, Marga Prohens has been invested in the Balearic Islands, Carlos Mazón is already president in the Valencian Community and María Guardiola will take office in Extremadura on Monday.

The three cases are the result of the pacts between PP and Vox and it remains to be seen what will happen in Murcia and Aragon, where the populars also need the support of the far right to form a government. The lack of harmony in these two communities with the party of Santiago Abascal works as a counterpoint to stage that there is no agreement at any price, despite the threat of repeat elections. After July 23 we will see what happens in these autonomies.

When you reach the equator of the campaign, these agreements with the extreme right are not taking their toll on the PP. After the face-to-face debate between Pedro Sánchez and Alberto Núñez Feijóo in Atresmedia, the popular people feel strong. This is indicated by most polls, except this week's CIS. The PP has begun the battle to capitalize on the useful vote that allows them a loose majority. Vox has been placed in the center of the target to hunt down voters who want change and prefer a government free of strings attached.

Along these lines, the PP set up a tarp in Madrid yesterday to appeal to this useful vote, while the popular leader warned that if he opts for the ultra party in some provinces there will be "thousands of votes that do not get seats ". The message is clear, voting for Vox does not solve anything and will contribute to the fact that Sánchez remains four more years in the Government. "We need 20 seats to govern alone", stated Feijóo in a clear allusion to the hole that Vox can make in the aspirations of the PP to reach Moncloa.

The PSOE is trying in the final stretch to counteract the apathy of the left and the adverse polls. His speech has the effect of denouncing alliances with the extreme right and "the shameless exchange of rights for votes, of principles for seats", as Pedro Sánchez warned yesterday at an event in Madrid surrounded by artists and creators.

The cultural world close to the left is mobilizing against the censorious episodes – the veto of feminist plays or the cancellation of subscriptions to Catalan magazines – that have emerged these weeks. Abascal's party has secured control of the Culture portfolio in local governments and councils with the clear aim of imposing its ideological discourse. And he is succeeding.

Sánchez used the quote in front of a sympathetic audience to defend "women's rights and the free creation of expression".

The story of the good progress of the economy and the announcements-proposals, which were intended to be the central axis of the past municipal elections, did not work for the PSOE, and in this campaign it has changed and tried to embarrass the PP with the pacts with the extreme right and the result of the latter: suppression of Equality councils and replacement by Family areas, cultural censorship, elimination of the term gender violence...

The populists denounce the policies "imposed" by the PSOE Government partners and the agreements that have been reached throughout the legislature with the pro-independence parties. In Genoa, they use these alliances to take their toll on the management of the President of the Government and socialist candidate. In the survey published at the weekend by La Vanguardia, it was evident a deep rejection of the parliamentary relationship of the coalition Government with EH Bildu and ERC and of the law of only yes is yes.

There are seven days left until the end of a campaign that has recovered the old bipartisanship. A week in which the two major parties will appeal to the useful vote to convince the 35.2% of citizens who are still not sure who they will vote for on July 23.
