The Compromís-Sumar candidacy presented yesterday in front of the Torres de Serranos de València its candidates in the province of Valencia for the 23-J elections. And he did it with the support of the main organic positions of Compromís and Esquerra Unida and with the absence of Podem's referents in the Valencian Community. Sources from the purple formation explained to La Vanguardia that no one invited them to participate in that first great act.
Podem is now experiencing a complicated situation -on Tuesday a technical team was formed that, as a manager, will lead the party until the convocation of the citizen assembly- after the bad electoral results and the announcements of resignation of its coordinator, Pilar Lima, and the withdrawal from the first political line of his candidate for the Generalitat, Héctor Illueca. The non-invitation and the fact that there are no Podem charges on the list does not help the involvement of this formation in the campaign either.

Despite the absence, the organizers explained that there is plurality and that all the forces that join the candidacy are represented in the campaign team (also Podem, they stressed). However, after the agreement for the distribution of the positions on the list, in Compromís they had already assumed that the bulk of the campaign would have to be carried out by them with the help of local collectives in the US (which maintains its territorial implantation) and the punctual help in some municipalities of Podem circles.
In statements to the media after the family photo, the head of the bill, Àgueda Micó, emphasized the need to have "a powerful Valencian voice in Congress" and defended that "the best antidote against the PP and Vox government in The Valencian Community is a government where Compromís is the Valencian voice and Sumar contributes and promotes transformative policies". For his part, 'number two', Alberto Ibáñez (also from Compromís) listed some of the coalition's proposals such as betting on the 32-hour day, reducing the gender gap or combating the climate emergency. Micó had charged against the expansion of the Port and claimed to improve the surroundings.
