Santos Cerdán denies that Koldo was his pupil and that he has legal responsibility in the case

The organizational secretary of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, denied this Tuesday that Koldo García was his pupil or had any legal responsibility in the case that bears the name of the former advisor of former minister José Luis Ábalos of alleged corruption since he has never worked for him directly.

In his appearance at the Senate investigation commission on the Koldo case, the current number three of the PSOE said that he found out through the media about this plot of alleged corruption of contracts signed during the pandemic and has stated that since that came to light has not spoken with Koldo García, one of those investigated and former advisor to Ábalos. "I have no legal responsibility for the actions he may take, because he has never worked for me directly," he declared.

Furthermore, he has denied that Koldo García was his pupil or that he promoted him in the PSOE of Navarra, where he ended up being a socialist councilor of Huarte in 2011, when Cerdán was Secretary of Organization in that autonomous community, since he limited himself to endorsing the list presented .

In his speech in response to the UPN senator María del Mar Caballero, Cerdán has acknowledged that it was he who commissioned Koldo García to guard the endorsements of support for Pedro Sánchez for the 2017 primaries because he had voluntarily carried out security work in Navarra, and then it was Koldo García himself who offered to work as a driver for Ábalos.
