Rodríguez forces the PSPV to vote for its candidate so that PP-Vox does not govern the Provincial Council

When everything seemed aimed at announcing an agreement between Ens Uneix, PSPV and Compromís to govern the Valencia Provincial Council, the independent party led by Jorge Rodríguez has struck a fist on the table and has broken off negotiations with the progressive forces. After a few weeks of negotiations (in which this independent party led by the former socialist leader Jorge Rodríguez did not stop speaking in parallel with the PP), everything is still up in the air, a week and a day after the constitution of the provincial institution. .

The mayor of Ontinyent and former socialist leader has indicated that he has no intention of voting for either the candidate of the PSPV (Carlos Fernández Bielsa) or the PP (Vicent Mompó) and has invited the left to support the candidate Natalia Enguix that this formation independent will present in the next plenary session.

If they did not do so, and given the tie for representatives between PSPV and Compromís (12 3) and PP-Vox (13 2), the popular ones would win the Presidency of the Provincial Council as they were the force with the most votes.

However, the Socialists have not yet thrown in the towel and point out that "there are 8 days left and that they will continue working so that there is a left-wing agreement in the Valencia Provincial Council." At the moment, they avoid pronouncing on the possibility of supporting another candidate that is not Carlos Fernández Bielsa.

After the 28-M elections that left the Valencian left out of the Consell, without the presidency of the Castellón Provincial Council (the Alicante one no longer had it) and of most important city councils, the Valencia Provincial Council aspired to become in the most important square governed by PSPV and Compromís.
