The candidate for the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens, of the PP, has promised this Monday in her investiture speech to defend the agreement reached with Vox that will allow her to be president with the abstention of the extreme right. Prohens has outlined her government program, which incorporates most of the demands of those who will be her investiture partners, especially in terms of language, with the possibility of parents choosing the language of education of their children.
"On May 28, change and freedom won," said Prohens. "I will personally defend this agreement and I will get involved in the application of the measures that it includes because they represent the change that the Balearic Islands need", he added. The candidate has specified that there are differences between the PP and Vox "but we have both made a generous effort to leave them out and concentrate on those that unite us."
In addition to insisting on freedom as the axis when it comes to governing these four years, Prohens has shown the way to what will be a radical turn in the policies that the socialist Francina Armengol has developed up to now. There will be free choice of language and there will be policies to "waterproof" the classrooms from "temptations of ideological indoctrination."
