The Madrid City Council, through the Area of Economy, Innovation and Finance, launches the Virtual International Investment Window, an online platform located within the Madrid Investment Attraction (MIA) municipal office, which was created with the aim of facilitating the process of establishing any international company in the city of Madrid.

The project, carried out in collaboration with the Forum for Madrid, is an instrument to reinforce the internationalization of the Madrid economy that responds to the desire to create agile and user-centered public services, as well as an example of public-private collaboration, highlights the City Council in a note.

The window was born with the aim of becoming the reference for anyone who wants to establish their business in the city, and in a facilitating environment that positively influences the positioning of the capital as a pole of attraction for foreign investment. Madrid is already the third European city in terms of investment.

Conceived as a microsite within the MIA website, it offers clear, synthetic and contextualized content in Spanish and English, aimed at investors from anywhere in the world.

In the first phase it will be, above all, informative, providing investors with assistance on the basic administrative procedures necessary for the process of opening and starting operations in the city of Madrid, including fundamental information on the constitution of the company. company and obtaining visas, including all the procedures that the company must know to establish itself and begin its activities in the capital.

The window links to the services and programs that MIA offers to potential investors, as well as contact information with the team and other possible collaborators in the process, serving as a connector with the respective clusters and weaving a network of possible collaborators.

This platform, which aims to progressively expand the procedures available therein and become a transactional processing platform, will also contribute to the acceleration of investment processes, reducing the costs of access to information, the bureaucratic burden and the effects of institutional dispersion.

Madrid Investment Attraction (MIA) is the foreign investor service office attached to the General Directorate of Economy of the Madrid City Council. Its objective is to facilitate the attraction of investment and foreign talent to the Madrid capital.

Created in 2018, it has offices in the center of the capital and permanent agents in London, Miami and Mexico, who serve investors and local companies interested in growing their businesses from Madrid.

With the launch of the base project of the Virtual International Investment Window, MIA strengthens the positioning of the Madrid economic space in the international context and improves the local business climate.
