Most gifts received have a symbolic value and the cost does not exceed the limit of courtesy. One gift, however, draws attention: the set of necklace, bracelet, earrings and diamond ring that Queen Letizia received from Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, during the State visit . In the Arab tradition it is impossible to refuse a gift.
