Feijóo condemns the violence and rejects lessons from the PSOE

Yesterday, for the first time, Alberto Núñez Feijóo pronounced the word condemnation. According to the people, it was not the pressure of the PSOE, which already before the rallies in front of the socialist headquarters in Ferraz turned violent, had demanded the president of the PP to stop agitating the street.

The riots caused by ultra groups on Tuesday night have caused a change of script in the speech of the PP, although it continues to blame Pedro Sánchez for being "mainly responsible for what is happening in Spain". That is why he assured that he will not accept any lesson from a party that "does not condemn violence" because it "intends to amnesty it".

On Monday, the popular leader distanced himself from the violent protests in front of the PSOE headquarters, but did not condemn them, and on Tuesday, when the incidents began, he launched a tepid criticism. Hours later, already in the morning, it was Cuca Gamarra who was decisive in the face of the riots: "Nothing justifies the violence that has been experienced today by a minority. My resounding condemnation". Elías Bendodo repeated this yesterday morning on RNE when he condemned "without any tepidity all kinds of violence, especially in demonstrations that the PP neither calls nor participates in", thus making it clear that the populars dissociated themselves from the call of these protests in front of the headquarters of the PSOE.

Yesterday, Feijóo took advantage of an intervention at a conference against the amnesty to make the sentence that many demanded of him. "Violence has no place in democracy and must always be rejected, whether by extreme left or extreme right". The president of the PP assured that he will not admit that his party's condemnation of the violent is called into question and that he is a participant in it. "While the ultras are criticized, and we share this criticism, the same people who denounce them give impunity to the violent acts that interest them", he denounced. In this sense, he criticized that "professionals of manipulation and lies" say that he is not "clear", and affirmed that violence "has no place in democracy". For the popular leader, on the one hand there are "those who commit violence and amnesty them, and on the other those who condemn one thing and the other, because they are violent and anti-democratic acts". "We condemn one thing and the other", he said.

Feijóo continued to explain his rejection of the amnesty, which will lead him to take to the streets again on Sunday, because "it will not mean any peace, because there is no conflict". In his opinion, criminal oblivion will weaken the State, "because privileges do not strengthen anyone", and will turn the Supreme Court "into a repressor".
