Bulgari chooses Barcelona for its party

Design and architecture. Luxury and modernity. Innovation and creativity. Today a jewel is conceived as a small work of art, as an architectural piece to be admired, conserved and preserved over time. This is how the Bulgari house understands each jewel of its emblematic Serpenti collection, which celebrates its 75th anniversary and celebrated it with magnificence in the emblematic Mies van der Rohe Foundation Pavilion with a brilliant party.

The models Nieves Álvarez and Martina Klein; the actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Eric Masip; FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández with his wife, Núria Cunillera, Carlos Godó, CEO of the Godó Group, Ana Godó, editorial director and director of Libros de Vanguardia and Vanguardia Dossier, and the artist Ignasi Monreal were able, together with other guests, enjoy a night of live Italian music, cocktails and dancing.

The Roman house chose this location to commemorate the 75 years of its famous Serpenti collection not only because of the enviable location of this building - very close to the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc - but because it is studied in the books of 'art history. Mies van der Rohe said of architecture that it was like "the most faithful guardian of the spirit of the times, because it is objective and is not affected by individualism or personal fantasies".

Serpenti bears a great resemblance to this symbology of the eternal, which does not fade with time. In Greek and Roman mythology, the snake was believed to have powers of transformation and regeneration due to its ability to shed its skin. Today, Bulgari symbolically represents it as a piece of jewelry with a snake that bites its tail and forms an infinite circle without beginning or end. From the house's hometown of Rome, also known as the Eternal City, Bulgari wanted to transfer the history of Serpenti to its boutique on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona. There, from October 18 to November 30, you can see the exhibition Serpenti, 75 years of infinite tales, a display of the historical archive with contemporary creations of high jewelry and a magnificent work of art by the artist Ignatius Monreal.
