In the Gorg de la Plana, in the area of the Brugent river, it hasn't rained much. This is how we see it in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, with little flow, in Les Planes d'Hostoles, region of La Garrotxa.
The Gorg de la Plana is located in the valleys of Cogolls and Hostoles, surrounded by the cliffs of El Far (1,150 m), La Salut (1,020 m) and the Sierra de les Medes (884 m), where the volcano is located. Puig Rodó and irrigated by the Brugent river.
The Gorg de la Plana is part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. In this area of Catalonia we find more than 40 extinct volcanic cones.
To get to the Gorg de la Plana, a route of only 1.72 km is covered. The excursion is easy, short and surrounded by waterfalls and beautiful scenery. It is an adventure that lasts approximately 45 minutes to enjoy the forest.
