The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a man accused of kidnapping another in Barcelona. As El País has advanced and the ACN has confirmed, the events occurred on Tuesday night when a person appeared at a woman's house and took her partner.
The alleged kidnapper asked him for a sum of 2,000 euros to repay a loan that the victim had requested, and warned him that if he did not do so, his life would be in danger.
The woman was able to collect 700 euros in cash, and it was agreed that the next day they would meet to carry out the exchange: the rest of the money in exchange for the couple. The woman knew that her man owed money.
Before appearing at the agreed place, he contacted the Mossos to report what happened. As a result of the notice, a device was set up to catch the alleged kidnapper, who ended up being arrested yesterday in Lesseps square, where he had met the woman to carry out the exchange. The police also released the victim.
The detainee has a history of threats and is now accused of kidnapping. Agents continue to investigate to clarify the facts.
