The National Police has deployed an operation due to a bomb notice received at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), in Oviedo, sources from the Principality's Ministry of Health have informed EFE. Following the notice received late this Wednesday night, the protocol provided for by the State Security Forces and Corps in which professionals from the hospital center are collaborating is being applied, the same sources have added.

One of the first measures that have been taken is the reduction of the pressure on the HUCA Emergencies through 112, from where patients are being referred to other health resources.

The President of the Principality, Adrián Barbón, has sent a message of "tranquility and calm" through his profiles on social networks. "At the moment the State Security Corps and Forces and their specialized services are working. They will act in accordance with their indications and recommendations," said the head of the Asturian Executive.

According to the newspaper El Comercio, after one in the morning, the National Police began to allow relatives and patients to return to the emergency waiting room, and normalcy returned to the health center.

Apart from this shock, the Asturian health sector experienced this Wednesday the first of the two days of strike called by the Sicepa-Usipa union, the only one that distanced itself from the agreement reached a few weeks ago between the Principality's Health Service (Sespa) and the rest of the union organizations, to demand new improvements for the professionals.
