In Aragon there is an orange alert (significant risk) in the province of Huesca in the center, south and the Pyrenees due to rains of up to 30 liters in one hour and due to storms with large hail and very strong gusts of wind; in the rest of the community there is a yellow warning for rainfall that will accumulate 20 liters in one hour; the Aemet warns that in the Ribera del Ebro it could reach 36 degrees.

The month of July ends with the typical heat of this time of year as high temperatures are expected in the last week of the month, especially this Saturday, when values around 40ºC and 42ºC will be recorded in the south of the peninsula. This will not be the case in the Cantabrian Sea, where cloudy skies and light rains will predominate with maximum temperatures that will oscillate between 25ºC and 27ºC, as explained by the Aemet spokesman, Rubén del Campo.

After a few days of somewhat cooler temperatures for the season, during the last days of July and the beginning of August heat is expected again, although it will not be extreme, in parts of the southern half where temperatures could reach 40ºC.

Looking ahead to the weekend, on Saturday a general rise in temperatures is expected throughout Spain, with clear skies and more than 35ºC in the Ebro Valley, parts of Mallorca and both areas of the center and south of the peninsula, although the maximum forecast for the Guadalquivir Valley will reach 42ºC.

In this way, Del Campo explained that no major climatic changes are expected for Sunday, with the exception of a drop in temperature in the northeast and the Balearic Islands due to the arrival of northerly winds and a slight increase in heat in the southwest of the peninsula.

At the end of the week, the atmosphere will be generally warm, with higher than normal night temperatures in the Mediterranean with torrid nights in Barcelona or Valencia. In the Bay of Biscay, on the other hand, some light rains will continue.
