One person died early this Monday in an accident on the A-2, near Alcarràs (Lleida), in which two trucks were involved.
As reported by the Servei Català del Trànsit (SCT), the accident took place around 05:40 hours at kilometer 454.6 of the highway, when for reasons not yet determined there was a rear-end collision between two trucks, one of them which he has overturned.
As a result of the accident, one person died and several more -the number has not been determined- have been injured of various kinds, although there is no fear for their lives.
Eight patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra, four units from the Generalitat Fire Brigade and five ambulances from the Emergency Medical System (SEM) have gone to the scene of the accident, which keeps the road to traffic in the Lleida direction cut off.
