More than 200 Junior Report RED editors interview the musical group The Tyets

Last Monday, April 29, more than 200 students from various educational centers in Catalonia attended 'La Quedada', a macro press conference organized by Junior Report RED, to interview the musical group The Tyets.

Accredited with press passes, the editors of the Digital School Magazine (RED) project went to the Social Hub of the Fundació Bofill in Barcelona, where they were able to act as professional journalists and experience journalism in the first person.

Through this press conference, which lasted an hour and a half, the students were able to talk with Xavier Coca and Oriol de Ramon, the members of The Tyets.

The event included the participation of 18 school magazines from all over Catalonia: Satorras Report, STM Report, IE Lluís Millet Report, Nostra Senyora Report, FEDAC Sant Andreu Report, El Pilar Report, GEM Report, La Salle Premià Report, INS Montgròs Report, Creu de Saba Report, Roca Report, Tordària Report, Pérez Iborra Report, Els Roures Report, L'Alzina Report, IE Rec Comtal Report, Pineda L'H Report and La Muntanyeta Report.

The different school essays were interested in knowing what the favorite song of both singers of The Tyets is, in knowing what their favorite words are in Catalan and even if they pour the milk or cereals first when they go to have their breakfast.

Questions also arose about their feelings upon learning that their songs are a success, or how they deal with criticism, when there is any, after a new release.

In this way, the two singers of this group from Mataró were able to share with the students great reflections and learnings about music, entrepreneurship and sacrifices in the artist's life, all within a close, participatory and enjoyable conversation.

After the press conference, those who attended the event were able to take photos with the two singers. In addition, they were invited to record with their mobile journalism kit to create multimedia chronicles that will soon be published in their respective digital newspapers.

The Digital School Magazine (RED) project, promoted by the newspaper Junior Report and with the support of LCI Barcelona, Blanquerna and Acer for Education, has more than 100 educational centers throughout Spain that manage, direct and write their own school newspapers.

'La Quedada' is one of the Junior Report GO activities that are part of the RED work plan. Precisely these activities allow editors to leave the classroom to cover events or attend events as professional journalists.

In addition to 'La Quedada' with The Tyets, through the RED project the students have been able to cover events in the world of culture, such as theater performances, the ARC Premis and Enderrock Premis gala; enjoy radio and music workshops taught by professionals, and also interview recognized personalities such as the presenter and dubbing actor Jordi Cruz, the writers Care Santos, Paula Ferrer i Molina, Silvestre Vilaplana and Blue Jeans.
